chat: my dad/christopher's eating

hi all!!

well i spent the weekend at the hospital and then here trying to take

advantage of the beautiful weather and get some much needed stuff

done. my dad is more alert, still not all with it at times but is

talking. his short term memory is gone. he is moving his left leg but

his arm is still paralyzed. they have him on morphine for his pain and

heprin for the blood clot. we just have to wait and see. the lady

from the rehab center is suppose to be coming in this week to evaulate

him. he thinks that he will be walking and leaving by fri to go

home?!?! we have yet to deal with that. thanks for all the emails and

thoughts and prayers. it is going to be a long road. hopefully at one

point he will be able to come home.

now christopher, he has been eating much better since we went to see dr

h. his teacher is really on board now with making sure he eats his

snacks and lunch (i think the thought of him having to have surgery

upset her as well). so keep your fingers crossed!!!
