Guest guest
Eileen You might need to get some IV fluids, if all that ELyte didn’t resolve the muscle cramps. Sometimes there can be malabsorption issues and you need to get things put directly into the bloodstream. Or you’re dealing with something other than low electrolytes. So I probably would check in with your doctor sooner rather than later and not let it go too long. I become dehydrated very easily, and have extra muscle cramps due to neuropathies, and I’ve found that a glass or two of ELyte or extra potassium and magnesium resolves the muscle issues in a short time (until the next time!) Sometimes the muscles/tendons that were cramping severely ache for a few hours afterwards, but that disappears by the next day. Kim M.
