achy/ muscle cramps dehydration

hi all

well 5 weeks of D and then a cold has left me quite dehydrated which i always

am anyway - so i drank 14 cups of scd eltye yesterday taking mag and potassium

and epsom bath etc but still quite achy crampy muscles - should i be worried or

just keep doing this for a few more days

You

might need to get some IV fluids, if all that ELyte didn’t resolve the

muscle cramps. Sometimes there can be malabsorption issues and you need to get

things put directly into the bloodstream. Or you’re dealing with

something other than low electrolytes. So I probably would check in with your

doctor sooner rather than later and not let it go too long.

I

become dehydrated very easily, and have extra muscle cramps due to

neuropathies, and I’ve found that a glass or two of ELyte or extra

potassium and magnesium resolves the muscle issues in a short time (until the

next time!) Sometimes the muscles/tendons that were cramping severely

ache for a few hours afterwards, but that disappears by the next day.
