I do that with acorn squash. Split it in half, put a little cinnamon & brown sugar substitute...or I have put some sf maple syrup in each half (big yum on that one). You could also try some cranberries in them. Kim O

Yep that's my bastardization of asparagus or sparrowgrass to sparrygrass. As a peace offering, here's another great recipe for sparrygrass salad. This is a great " company " dish: you steam the sparry till it's tender crunchy, put in frig and let it cool. Right before you want to serve you dress it with oil, good balsamic vinegar (get the best you can afford it makes a world of difference), chopped walnuts, and gorgonzola (sp?) cheese. Salt & pepper to taste. Mix it up and serve, it is to die for delicious. Lucille
Guest guest
LOVE spaghetti squash, but it is hard to find small ones and the BIG ones are just too darn big. Can't EAT that much! Cut in half, bake until you can poke it with a fork and it is tender, take out...scoop out squash from the shell, butter and salt. OH YUMMMMMM!!!!!! Guest guest
With acorn squash, I cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, put in a little butter & salt, and bake it. Then I just eat it right out of the shell. Yummy! ---------------------------------------- Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.com http://www.5dollarhosting.com .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune!
