Guest guest
Hi to all, I know I have mispelled the word, but, have any of you ever had difficulty w/coming out of anestisia? I have had two experiences where when I woke up, I could not breath. Another time where I was nausaus. I have had one time where I felt good coming out. That is one of my dilemmas. My OM surgeon works out of Baptist Hospital and the anestiasiaolist that I felt good with works out of Mercy. And neither one can come to the other hospital. Answers to my dilemma???? Help! Guest guest
Hi , I have had 32 surgeries when I had my 31st surgery which was jaw surgery the day after surgery I had breathing problems when I had another surgery last month I had breathing problems as soon as I began to wake up. And my worry as I am having another op next month is if it will affect my breathing, I will be seeing the anesthetist before my surgery and it will be on top of my list of questions for him. I was told that it could be that I was put to sleep a different way that i'm used to and maybe that was the reason. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi , Talk to your OMS about this. Ask him to recommend an anesthesiologist for you from the group at the hospital he uses. And I would also get a copy of your anesthesiology report from the surgery with your best outcome. You will just need to go to Mercy and request it from the medical records office. It may take a week or two to get the copy, so it would be best to get it now rather than waiting just before your surgery. It will have all kinds of information that will hopefully make your next anesthesiology experience more positive. And be sure to go to a preop consult with your anesthesiologist too. Be very clear with them about your previous anesthesiology problems. Even bring in all your anesthesia reports if you can get them, so he/she can see what you had problems with, and what worked well for you. Being proactive in your care is a good thing. I hope this helps! Hugs, Fran > > Hi to all, > I know I have mispelled the word, but, have any of you ever had difficulty w/coming out of anestisia?
