Guest guest
Hi Sue, I really didnt even go to the gym that much before my surgery, but find that it now helps so much with maintaining energy throughout the day. I felt comfortable doing very low-impact activities at the gym. My favorite is the stair master machine. I dont know what a doctor would say, but I would imagine running on a treadmill would be a bad idea because it could shake things up with your jaw. I started going to the gym at about 2 weeks post op. I know that even now, 4 weeks post-op, I still wouldnt feel comfortable on a treadmill, but your surgeon might be able to tell you whether you'd be able to definitely do it or not. I was actually suprised, because my surgeon told me that I could go snowboarding by the end of November, because everything will be healed! So definitely by 2 months...
