hi!

i thank god for letting me find this support group because i think i

really need to learn from those who have been there and done it..

basically i have a " borderline " case of an overbite.. and my surgeon

have showed me a predicted side profile using some computer techniques

but when i saw the picture, i wasnt really impressed because it didn't

really changed much of my side profile. i was devasted although my

surgeon told me that this picture was only a prediction. SInce this

surgery is not covered by insurance, i have to fork out the money to

pay for it, and i am now really scared. I read from many messages that

many people go through this phase, before they come to a decision. But

now, I am scared and really felt kind of lost.. because i wanted to do

this surgery not for health reasons- my overbite didn't really give me

problems, but rather to heal my low self esteem.
