The fluid levels of our body are constantly changing -- and illness can really cause them to fluctuate. If there is any " truth " at all to the science out there, a pound of fat represents approximately 3500 calories of stored energy. Ten pounds would be 35,000 stored calories. Is there any way humanly possible that you stored an extra 35,000 calories over the past seven days? Fluid, baby ... it's fluid. Drink up until you float away for the next three days and eat reasonably ... stay off the scale ... then get on after three days and see what the number says. Hang in there ... it's scary as hell when the numbers go the wrong direction .... we all can understand the panic you are feeling right now!
