Is this true? Why? Please answer!!! I haven't purchased the book yet as I found out about the SCD diet about 30 min ago. Colitis is like having an internal wound - size of the wound dependent on the severity of the colitis. Could be ulcerated and with lots of inflammation. And it's in a part of your body, i.e., your intestine, that is connected more thoroughly through nerve endings to other parts (most prominently, btw, the brain - which might explain your headaches right there, if the active part of your colitis [assuming that is what you have since you expressed an interest in it] is near a nerve ending connected to the brain) than any other. The pain radiates out, causing various symptoms, among them severe achiness. Lots of other things, too, like sciatica, etc. Mara
