Guest guest
Wow ! You have been through such an ordeal and still have so much facing you. I am impressed by your attitude and how well you are handling it. I would probably be a crying disaster. Props to you!... keep us posted as everything progresses. I hope you get the best possible news regarding the scan and testing. You're in my thoughts! And hold on to that focus on the prize... the end of this long road is there waiting for you! Katja > > Hello, > > I'm four months post op and my recovery hasn't been the easiest though I have no regrets about going through with the surgery. Since my original surgery I have had infections, swelling, pain and discomfort. I had another surgery to drain out any infection after antibiotics failed and to open my sinuses a little more a 6 weeks ago. It didn't make any difference. I also fell and broke my jaw which made things worse! > > I saw my surgeon today and he said that he needs to have a CT and MRI scan to see what's happening. I will also be having a section of my upper lip removed during one of the surgeries. > > I have also been signed off work for another couple of weeks. > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
Hi Katja, My recovery has been a tough ride and I have a lot more surgeries to go through still, but by focusing on the end result and being positive sure does help a lot. I have had many other surgeries which has probably helped me in some ways. Yes the end to this very long road is waiting for me some where LOL I just need to find it. __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Hi , You have been through so much!! And you sound so okay with it too! You are amazing! Did he schedule you for the scans? Please let us know what you find out. I am hoping this will be the final surgery related to this. How are you feeling with this? Guest guest
Hi Fran, thank you. I should get a call today with the date for the scans hopefully soon! I too hope that this will be the final surgery related to this, then I can move on with the rest of them. I was hoping that there was something else they could do rather then surgery, or even do what they wanted to do while I'm awake. But my surgeon said that it's easier for the both of us and less painfull for me if i'm asleep. He also said that he will be doing more than a nasendoscopy and it's easier for the whole team if I were sleeping from the word go rather them half way through and he doesn't want to worry or upset me any more. A lot of people think that after 32 surgeries you're used to the aneasthetic etc but every surgery is different and there is always the worry of aneasthetic. The past few times I have had surgery I have had some breathing problems and panic attacks when I wake up, the Dr said my airway doesn't like being messed with! and that is a big concern for me. __________________________________________________
