Guest guest
Hi Sam, My dental insurance is Metlife and it covered $1500 toward my braces - life time max. My full cost is around $4500. Amy > Please answer yes or know. Guest guest
Sam, My insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, does not cover any part of adult orthodontics. The full cost, $5500, was out-of-pocket for me. They do cover my surgery however, and I have a great plan with them so I only have to pay 10% with a $1000 max out-of-pocket, so I'm very thankful for that! ~
Guest guest
NO! My braces were not covered by my insurance(neither medical nor dental). Katja > Please answer yes or know. Guest guest
Partial Coverage: $150 / Month Orthodantics to a Max of $1500. Drop in the bucket for a 7500 dollar treatment plan. Guest guest
Sam - My insurance pays for $1K - Lifetime Maximum. My insurance is thru work - insurance company is Blue Cross of Idaho. And, just to add another bit of info to all this: my surgery is an excluded benefit, so I will be having my surgery at a " short-term " hospital that my OMS has privileges at (he does the vast majority of his surgeries there and he is also a Cosmetic Surgeon). My employer/hospital is the largest Hospital system in the state of Idaho but they won't cut me a price break for the surgery so I'm going elsewhere. The short-term hospital will be charging me a quarter of the price my hospital charges. So much for rewarding me for my twenty-five years of hard work and dedication. (I'm a bit pissed - can't you tell?) Hope my answer helps. ~~ Diane--- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , " sammyara1977 " <sammyara1977@y...> wrote: > Please answer yes or know. Guest guest
Hi , My story is almost exactly like yours! Including nearly the same amount for the orthodontic braces, and maximum of $1000 out of pocket for the surgery. We must have a similar plan. Good thread!
