Guest guest
Hi, The Le Forte 1 is where the surgeon removes a wedge of bone from your upper jaw to reduce an upper jaw that has grown too vertical. For me, I will be attempting to remove the gummy smile and long face syndrome. The genioplasty is a slice of bone that is removed from the lower jaw, again to reduce excessive vertical growth. Does that sound similar to you? Guest guest
Wonderful! I'm so excited we can live through this pain together. I'm starting to make a list of things I will need to make sure I store in the house for after the surgery, when I'll be unable to leave the house(eg. movies, books, exercise videos, etc). With the holidays, we'll be busy and I'm sure Jan will sneak up on us. I'll have my pre-op appt on Jan 11th. That's probably when I'll start to get REAL nervous. I'll have to figure out how to post my pictures so you can see who you're talking to. I'll have to get my hubbie to help me with that, so it will be a little while, but I'll let you know when they're posted.
