Guest guest
An option in place of the toaster oven might be toastabags. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001UHNMM0/?tag=apartmentth0a-20 Someone from my Celiac group uses them for travel and loves them for that. When we travelled last May, I made stuff and froze it in jars. Then the jars helped keep things cold in the cooler. Just found places with microwaves, which we called ahead before making reservations. We also had a tote with all our own plates and such and just ate in the room then washed our own dishes. For lunches on the road, we just had easy grab items to eat. For our family of 6 (4 kids under 8), we used a large cooler and that seemed to be large enough for us. Not sure how much this helps you for your specific situation though. Francine > > Hi, > > I want to get some stuff for the car like a fridge to go, cooler and maybe a hot plate or something? I am going to be on the road a bit soon and I was wondering if someone has any ideas for stuff to keep in the car and what kind of fridge to go I should buy? Also, anyone use like a toaster oven and bring it in to motel rooms? > Any info would be greatly appreciated. I seem to of waited last minute yet again so it's mos def something I need to buy in the next week or so. > > Thanks! > Jodi >
Guest guest
" Also, anyone use like a toaster oven and bring it in to motel rooms? " Many hotels offer a complementary breakfast and have a special room that is equiped with toasters, microwaves and many offer a variety of fruits. Ask if the hotel has an in-room fridge and bring all of your stuff in an ice chest for the travel. Hope this helps

Guest guest
You can get car warmers and coolers too - the same machine will keep things refrigerated or warmed both in the car and in your room. I just bought my friend a wonderful design one by Pylones - so pretty as well - but there are other versions available more readily available. check Amazon for car fridge. I was given one years ago and never used it then but started when I started having food difficulties. It works really well.Ruth Click www.birdlandcreations.com for fine silver jewelry to make you smile :-DClick http://insidetheartisan.blogspot.comfor stories behind the creations
