Guest guest
Thanks for the B-Day Toast!! I am actually going to get a Booast out of the frig in a minute and will toast right back to ya for continued success in our recoveries!! Big 40 is just a number to me. I am actually looking better at 40 than I did at 30. Go figure that..(haha) I guess this weight loss from the surgery along with like you said tightening of the face to take the wrinkles out surely has it advantages. I noticed my laugh lines have disappeared along with those small lines around the eyes! What a bargain, we got Cosmetic surgery also..(haha) The knee issue really came as a surprise because I was originally thinking that my jaw surgery was going to be last fall and was preparing for that. I was doing a bunch of aerobic exercises which must of been what injured the knee. My doctor originally thought it was a Baker's Cyst which made sense to me because this can be caused by exercises such as aerobics, running, etc. When the Baker's Cyst was ruled out I was sent to a Rheumatologist who ruled out any disesases that could be causing the swelling in the knee and pain. They thought it may of been Rheumatoid Arthritis. After that was ruled out I went to an Orthopedic surgeon who wanted to do Arthroscopic Surgery on the knee. He went in thinking he was going to find nothing, but noticed that the bone was not smooth at all and had to go in and scrape the bone until it became smooth again. Talk about pain the first week home. A lot worse than this jaw surgery could ever be. I didn't sleep at all the first week home. I was on crutches for about 4 weeks. I ended up having to extend my leave last summer from work to over a month and then had to take off work 3 days a week to go to Physical Therapy for 3 months. It is a wonder after taking off a month this summer that I still have a job. The knee is doing better now, I still have a little swelling in the back, but no pain. You are about the size of my friend who is the same height as you and weighs only 88 pounds. She is also 38 years old. She looks so young because of how tiny she is. She did smoke for many years which has taken its toll on her face, but if it wasn't for that you would think she was a young kid. I remember when I first met her I thought she was a coworkers kid visiting for the day. When she was pregnant she did pick up about 30 pounds but has lost it all. What is a class II and class III configuration for the bands? When I go in next Wednesday to see my OS I am going to tell him that the clas II configuration will be good enough for the week..(haha) Enjoy the remainder of your weekend! When is your next workday? I am going to get that bulldozer out for you and have it ready for all those drunks..(haha) --Caboose > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > > > I just got back from the OS. I am officially banded.
