Guest guest
Dana, Erythritol is a sugar alcohol, like sorbitol. It has no calories because it is not absorbed during digestion. It then goes down into your intestines where the bad bugs have a party on it. Sorry- it's not legal, PJ > > Could this sweetner- LAKANTO- be legal? > > What Is Lakanto Made From? Guest guest
This is SCD illegal for a number of reasons, imo. As stated: ‘The erythritol is quite chemically processed and so might be the Luo han fruit’. I would not trust ‘Quite chemically processed’, AND I would not trust any food product from China given their extremely non-existent food safety laws. Avoid Lakanto, it is SCD illegal. The only sweeteners allowed are honey, fruit and saccharin. Carol CD 22 yrs SCD 5 yrs From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Dana Claudat Could this sweetner- LAKANTO- be legal? Erythritol is a sugar alcohol and is not SCD-legal. I wouldn't trust anything that is a " super sweet extract " because ghu-alone knows what they've done to it. I doubt the extract bears any resemblance to the original fruit. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
