Guest guest
Hi Rina, Thanks for the update. Sorry things are going so slowly for you. Glad you've got a good diagnosis and can move forward from here. Guest guest
Hi Rita, Sorry you are going through this. And thank you for the tip about getting a post op blood level check. You are right, these are routinely done before surgery, but more seldom performed post op. I am putting it on my list of things to do. I hope being on this new course will help your recovery go more smoothly. Let us know how you progress from here. Hugs, Fran > > Hey everyone, > > I am now almost 4 months post op (had upper/lower/genio on May > 5). > > I still am not eating much solid food, pretty much a soft food low > > chew diet and still have minimal opening. > > Because of the poor diet and lack of nutrition I was recently > > diagnosed with anemia and B12 deficiency. Guest guest
Hi Rina, I had my surgery upper, major nose reconstruction, cheek bone and bone graft surgery May 6th. I have been allowed to eat solid food for the past 3 weeks but I find it too painfull and stick to soft food. I am having other problems with my jaw and need to see my maxillofacial surgeon about them. I was diagnosed with anemia while in surgery, and I have been on medication for it ever since as my iron levels won't go up. I have regular blood tests done. > __________________________________________________
