Yup, that's me. I sleep fine once I fall asleep, but falling asleep takes me

FOREVER! My poor

hubby, I haven't gone to bed at the same time as him since surgery, I'm just not

tired and I

have to be exhausted to go to bed. Even then I lie around for so long... I

have two weeks

before I'm back to work so I am just doing what I can. Blah.

Nope, it's not a long-term solution. But you don't need a long-term

solution. You need something to get you through the immediate post-op

situation. Many people have found Benedryl quite effective for this

purpose.

Has your doc given you any instructions about sleeping positions? Some

folks find a recliner works best. Others experiment with using a

variety of sizes and shapes of pillows. If congestion is the grouble, a

vaporizer and all the other conventional remedies may help.

Best,
