Hi ...

I remember the first time we had the Super Bowl in San Diego, everyone was very

worried about the traffic and ticked that we couldn't get tickets to the game.

People thought they could rent their houses out for huge amounts of money to

folks flying in for the game. But, when it came down to it, we didn't notice

any difference in traffic or crowds at restaurants, etc. the weekend of the

game. Now we are very blase about it. The volunteer " opportunities " are not at

the stadium and have little to do with the game. Yes, chili and t.v. is the way

to go. I'm also a big Survivor fan. Addict, actually. I find myself glued to

it even when I don't like the people and don't care who wins. Like the Africa

show. Pearl Islands was very good. Looking forward to the new one.

Subject: Super Bowl

Hi family, While some of you are watching the Super Bowl Playoffs this

weekend and next? I would like to remind everyone that the BIG game will be

played

in HOUSTON in our brand new Reliant Stadium with the retractable roof. Of

course I don't know anyone who is actually going to the game...Tickets are sky

high. They sent out press notices asking for volunteers for the big game and

then had to make announcements that ALL positions in the Stadium the day of the

game were already filled. Bummer.

Most of us here are going to try and stay out of the traffic that week, in

fact today's Travel section of the paper had idea's for getting away.

I am going to make chili and corn bread that day and watch the game with

everyone else or then again I just may take a nice nap...decisions, decisions. I

will tape the Celebrity Survivor show...I know, I know, I am a true Survivor

junkie..Everytime a new one starts I tell myself not this time and yet I am

strangely drawn to the TV like a moth. in Houston
