I think the big question here is, are you still on any meds? If so, I think

then no... Did you

lose alot of blood during surgery? If you are off your meds and you didn't

lose alot of blood,

and things are going well, then one or two might be ok. Of course, you don't

want to over do

it and get wasted. :) But I think you might be ok for a drink or two? It may

hit you harder

than normal though especially if you did lose some blood, so definetly go slow!

And have

someone to drive you home as you don't know how it will effect you. For what

it's worth, I'm

behind you (day 15 here) and still on my meds so I haven't had any drinks yet.

hey cori,

i stop taking meds a week or so back so it should be alright. i'm

thinking about using that injector i use to drink food with as a

mini beer bong and have a few drinks through that. I'm going to hold

out till the weekend though. I hope your recovery is going well.

take care.

It should be ok unless you're on strong meds. Pain killers & alcohol

are not a good mix.

After two weeks post-op, I went out to a British pub for fish & chips

and Irish ale. The wide glass made it easy for me to sip the ale - it

was the first time I was able to drink from a glass, so it was good

practice.

As for the fish & chips, I soaked them in malt vinegar, peeled off the

batter on the fish, and mushed everything up against the roof of my

mouth for flavour.

Be prepared for odd tastes, though. I am normally a red wine drinker,

but everything, even fine wine, tasted like cheap plonk post-op for

quite awhile (because of the anaesthetic). Ale was fine.
