Ladies,

My little boy (7m) has had PT since he was 3.5m old and we have seen a great

improvement in rotation, but the muscle continues to curve...until we took our

PT's referral and tried Rolfing.

I was seriously skeptical, but my child really responded to the method of

massage and we have seen at least a 50% improvement in his neck (after the one

and only visit) and how he holds his head...miraculous in my eyes...I have tried

everything (2 PT's, Chiro, etc.).

It is a great compliment to his PT. Separately if you have a babysitter/nanny

who watches your child during the day, I strongly recommend that you have them

go to PT with you and learn how to do the exercise so that your child gets the

recommended exercises all day, everyday v. just one hour a week. If you

can...have the PT come to your home and show you what to do in your own

environment and with his/her toys.

:)

This just goes to show that a "one treatment fits all" approach doesn't always work. Cogratulations on figuring this out. We really have to remember that sometimes the cause of a problem needs to be addressed to fix it. Apparantly, this form of massage is really doing it for your baby's tort.

So, thank you for sharing your story and improvement. That's how other parents learn about ideas of what to try. Maybe some mom out there is dealing with stubborn tort and needs something else to try.

thanks thats interesting to hear. I was actually just thinking about this an an

option for my son. I saw info for someone who does it but not sure if they do

it on babies. My son is having some spinal/compensation issues and I thought

this might be helpful for him. glad to hear its helping your son!
