Guest guest
Fay, Here's what I know. The only thing that will put me back to sleep when I wake up at 3am occasionally is 2 Ibuprofen liquid gel caps and a Xanax. None of the other Ibuprofens work as quickly. I only do this occasionally when I wake up and really, really need some more hours of sleep. in Austin RNY April 1998 315/190s Gel Capsule Does anyone know if we absorb less medicine when it is taken in the form of liquid gel caps?? Guest guest
Actually, that's my preferred method for OTC drugs. They don't get stuck, they dissolve quickly in just saliva and body heat, and they seem kinder on my GERD-irritated esophagus than tablets can be. The exception is gel cap oil-based vitamins like Vitamin E. We need what's in the oil there, and don't have much luck getting at it. Regular meds are usually liquids like you'd buy in a bottle, and tend to be water-based. If you need to supplement that fat-soluble vitamins, you need to get the dry form. (I know you know that, but for the benefit of our lurkers...) :-) HTH, Z Open RNY 09/17/01 http://www.ziobro.us Gel Capsule Does anyone know if we absorb less medicine when it is taken in the form of liquid gel caps??
