Hi ,

SCD helps with a myriad digestive and IBD issues. It is a healthy diet, just one

that needs very strict adherence to. I would suggest you give it a try for at

least a month to see if you notice ANY improvements in your symptoms. Then

decide if you would like to continue with the diet or not.

For anyone without insurance, if you contact the makers of the meds directly,

they can sometimes provide discounts/coupons, etc.

Why were you on and off of SCD? It won't work unless you are on it 100%. And

being on it 100% is very tricky. It took me many weeks of trial and error to

get it right. I kept finding that some of the stuff I was eating was not legal

even though I thought it was. This was especially the case with supplements,

spices, and other complimentary stuff that is very easy to overlook. I still

make mistakes from time to time and my body quickly lets me know about it!

I just wanted to mention that you need to taper off entocort, just like

prednisone. That's probably one of the reasons you're in a tailspin.

wondering if anyone else in this group has this type of IBD? I've been off and

on with SCD, and have tried other things as well (Primal, Paleo, Guts and Glory,

etc.) but have been having major problems lately.

is over $1,000 per month without insurance. I've tried ordering the " Budez CR "

generic from Sun Pharma in India but I believe that's what sent me into this

tailspin.

take cash patients (amazingly, and frustratingly, most will only accept new

patients with insurance!!) My appointment isn't until early November. I think I

may have to try a new medication. I'm not sure if the Entocort was working that

well, anyway. I've been on it at the full dose (9mg per day) for 6 months.

success with SCD? Are you on any medications, and if so, which ones have seemed
