Guest guest
Madison complains sometimes too. Dr H told us it's from intrapment. The tube may be getting pulled into the belly too tight. tell Him to suck in and then slightly pull the tube away from his belly and it should release. hope this helps, Chrissy
Guest guest
Hi Could Colin be getting sick. Liams button always gets sore a day or 2 before he comes down with something. Also, have you checked the amount of water in the balloon, sometimes if it is going down, it will irritate the stoma. Has he put on weight. could he need a bigger size? Maybe try putting a dressing under it to keep it still for a day or 2. Do you ever use calmoseptine, very good cream for soothing a sore stoma. I would keep it clean with some salty water and only get antibiotics if it gets red and sore. But you could get it swabbed at your local Dr if you are worried it could be an infection. Just my thoughts for the day!!! Hope he is OK Jody(mum to Liam 4RSS and cameron) > > At what point should I bring him in? Guest guest
, You sound like you already know the first signs of an infection. When Alyssa complains, the first thing I do is give her a dose of zantac to see if it's reflux. She rarely complains but sometimes it is. The other thing is sometimes it's just rubbing a little, maybe the button is the wrong size (she needs a bigger or smaller one) or the balloon is inflated lopsided. I usually put a dressing on for a few days and if she still complains, I change her button. That has always fixed the problem. Good Luck! Let us know if you figure out the problem! dayna _____ From: RSS-Support [mailto:RSS-Support ] On Behalf Of colinandhaydensmom Sent: Monday, February 13, 2006 2:03 PM To: RSS-Support Subject: Colin says his button hurts today At what point should I bring him in?
