Just a note to say I'm home from the hospital - got here Thursday night and

went back on regular mail yesterday but haven't really felt like talking

much. Me and Chryss had a nice chat last night though and she helped me

break the ice. :o)

The surgery went well as far as we know - I have a lot of pain and the

doctor actually doubled my percocet a few minutes ago so if this letter

fades in and out y'all will know why. lol (sorry but I need my sense of

humor right now) :o) lol

It was such a difference turning in the bed this time - just one thing I

noticed from the WLS. I also have to say my Dr. came by to see me

while I was in the " getting ready for the OR " area and each day I was in the

hospital, also his nurse came to visit me once. Really gave me a good

feeling for him to take the time to do this as I know how busy these guys

are these days! :o) Dr. is a sweetheart though and I have already

stated on several occasions how highly I think of him. :o)

Ok, now for the bad news - I gained 9 pounds while I was in the hospital. I

know this can't be possible as it has to be all the fluids I received plus

they gave me two units of blood and I probably should be whipped for

weighing the morning after coming home but......... I couldn't eat anything

while I was there really - and I think to this day the hospitals should have

a protein diet available for some people. I did grab a can of cashews and

take them with me so I could have a little snack from time to time but other

than those I don't think I got any protein. I didn't have much of an

appetite which was added to even more by my lack of desire to be visited by

the " vomit-monster " with 4 incisions in my back. Ouch.

I will not weigh again until at least Monday morning after protein feasting

yesterday and all week-end.
