Add in s. boulardii. Start with 1 and add until you feel a difference.

Feel better Gitte.

suppose I'm very succesful, since I have severe die-off about every second/third

all other possibilities (reactions to other things), so actually it's good news.

But it's hard and also difficult to do and still trying to keep up a normal

life.

Hi Gitte,

Good to hear from you. It sounds like your battle with yeast is

going well. Perhaps, as Mara suggested, add in Saccharomyces boulardii, a

community minded yeast that eats candida. Also, do you have Epsom salt available

in Denmark? It is magnesium sulfate crystals. It is soothing to soak in a tub

of warm water with 2 cups Epsom salts added. Soak 15 minutes. You can also just

soak your feet in a tub with the Epsom salts and warm water.

Apologies if you already know all this!

For weight gain can you blenderize into bone broth soups any

meat or vegetables that you tolerate? That would keep it liquid and easier for

your digestion to handle.

Hope you feel better soon!

I'm in the process of getting rid of a lot(!)

of yeast overgrowth - and I suppose I'm very succesful, since I have severe

die-off about every second/third day! The other days I'm feeling better than

ever though, and I've been through all other possibilities (reactions to other

things), so actually it's good news. But it's hard and also difficult to do and

I've pulled most of the yeast triggers out of my (already very restricted)

diet, which is another problem. I feel hungry most of the time and I loose

weight, which I really don't need!

Besides the diet adjustments I kick started the cure with one week of Diflucan

and then I started very slowly with garlic, ginger, and either grape seed

extract or oil of oregano. And then I do a lot of SCD yogurt.

My yeast overgrowth was really bad (had it a long time and after some recent

chemo therapy for breast cancer, it totally exploded), so I have to be drastic

and get some results. I know, I'm on the right path, but I would love to hear

some experienced comments and hopefully some advice as to make it a little

easier - but still effective. Any thoughts? Please? :-)

Thank you Mara and Carol for all good suggestions!

I used to take S. Boulardii but ran out a while ago. I have to order the legal

ones from the States, so when I heard (from someone here on the list) that it

was a good idea to take breaks from it now and then and not use it all the time,

I thought I would do that before ordering again. But perhaps the timing was

wrong!

I recently found epsom salt. I don't have a tub though, but I'll give the feet

an experience :-)

I'm making broth all the time anyway, and I could certainly try to blend in some

things. Good idea! I also just bought an ice cream machine, so am making great

yogurt ice cream.

It's been like that for 2 months now. I was thinking perhaps to do another round

of the one-week Diflucan cure. I did good with it the first time and it had a

huge effect. Anybody tried doing that twice? I'm willing to cut corners at this

time :-)

Thanks again for answering!
