No it is not normal and yes you need to be concerned... Call your Ped or Endo or

Both...

It is not unheard of for an RSS baby to have issues with pubic

hair.... needs to be checked for her hormone levels to see if

she is in early, and I do mean early, adrenarche. How is her weight?

Is it a good weight for height ratio? If it is high, then she needs

to stop gaining for awhile. Sometimes that helps. But you need a

good endo to check this out for you.

You know who would be of good help with this? Jovanovich. She

has posted a few times in the last day or two. Her daughter, Janelle,

had this issue at a very young age. Unfortunately, Janelle is no

longer with us, but has remained quite involved in our group. I

would look up her email address on the listserve and email her

directly. If you cannot find it, email me at magicrss @hotmail.com.

I have it saved there.

Jodi-

is about 10 1/2 pounds...at 7 months.. not sure of her height. But

she's lean. I'm worried I may have overlooked something else that might

be wrong with her. We see the geneticist in may.. but I don't think I

can wait that long. I hate not knowing.

Thanks for the info...

Hi ,

Thank you for asking a very IMPORTANT question. It is NOT normal for

a 7 month old to have pubic hair because pubic hair comes in Tanner

stages later in life. Please get her to her ped who will refer her to

an endo. My child had it way too early, so this is something I have

been dealing with for a few years now.

You are a very Good Mom for asking. It was a very, very important

question.
