Guest guest
Can you tell I'm excited? Tomorrow morning I am off to WA. I see Dr. Oh in the afternoon & surgery is Tues morning. It's hard for people to understand why I am sooo excited to be cut open. LOL I have been lurking, cheering for you who have made milestones, prayed for you who are struggling, smiled for those who got their dates, did a lot of happy dances for those who reached their goals, and loved each and everyone of you. It was hard to believe I had my 3 yr. anniversary on Dec. 22 & now I am going in for my revision. I thank each of you for it was you who helped me to figure out what my problems were, gave me the information, courage, and support in pursuing the solution, and find my way home - sorta speak. I can't wait to meet the Wa gang & to hang out with Mom for a few weeks. I am blessed that my kids will be able to fly in for a few days to go through this with me. I am packed, ready to go. I am not planning to take my laptop. It'll be one less thing to drag around. If I can remember from my other surgeries, I wasn't into doing to much for a while anyway. I am inclined to bring it in case I start having wls online group withdrawal - however, I shoud be okay - being close to so many I have met here online. Anyway, I thought I'd come out of lurkmode to let you know I'd be away. I know I have a couple of surgery twins hanging around, so I will be praying for you guys, too. You know what? When someone asks if you'd do this surgery again? - well, I KNOW the answer cause I am gonna do it again. LOL Anyway, I will probably check in a few times today & in the morning before I leave if I have a chance. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!! C ya soon, Lorraine WA gang, here I come. )
Guest guest
Yeah Lorraine!! I'm so glad that it's finally time!! I totally understand about the excitement, it's strange to be so excited about surgery, but it's very different than the first surgery. A lot of the unknown stuff is known this time, so that removes a large part of the fear. As to the " would I do it again " question, I say the same thing - I DID! lol. I would have preferred to do it right the first time, but hey, who knew? At least the second time around it worked, right? Personally, I never go anywhere without a laptop. But I work on the internet, so it's different. If carrying it home is the only thing you're worried about, don't worry. Get a wheelchair in the airport (MUCH easier than walking through the airport after surgery) and have someone put your laptop in the overhead bin for you. Good luck, although in Dr. Oh's hands, you don't need any. Enjoy VitaLand and the VitaCrew and all the Seattle area people (they're wonderful!) and make sure to play worms with Priscilla a lot. Poor cat, she never gets any attention (yeah, right!). ---------------------------------------- Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.com http://www.5dollarhosting.com .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune!
