Guest guest
Further questions about Colonoscopy Prep: Marilyn, in your write-up, you mentioned that you had to stop eating zucchini before the colonoscopy. I am planning to make zucchini pasta, using only the parts of each zucchini that don't contain seeds, which I assume avoids the seed issue. I asked the clinic whether I could use smooth nut butter, such as peanut butter or almond butter, only to be told that these are not allowed. I am curious whether you were allowed to consume smooth nut butters during the days before your colonoscopy. I had planned to bake a small batch of pecan-squash brownies, without sprinkling pecan pieces on top, but I haven't done so because of the clinic instructions. Tonight, I will try to bake an SCD bread using coconut flour, because it is made from a fruit (coconut) rather than nuts. I contacted the clinic, and Golytely is acceptable, so I ordered a kit from my compounding pharmacy. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask whether they could compound ducosate sodium without all the illegals. When I went to to the pharmacy on Monday, I learned that this would have been possible, but I had to have asked last week, as there was not sufficient lead time for the pharmacy to prepare ducosate sodium capsules by Thursday, the day I need to start taking them. So, I bought a box of Dulcolax suppositories, which contain only ducosate sodium and fat. > >>> 4 bottles of Gatorade (lemon-lime or orange - definitely not SCD legal, >>> contains sugar syrup Wizop Marilyn L.
