Guest guest
So, I've been secretly harboring a fear that my son is regressing after just a couple weeks out of his helmet. When I look at him, I see his flat spot is back on one side and his eye asymmetry is back. He finally had an eyelid on his right side, and it's already disappeared again. On top of it, his tort isn't getting better despite doing stretches for 5 months now and going back to PT. (We stopped going at one point because my son fought the PT so much and he suggested just doing the home stretches.) Anyway, I was hoping I was just being paranoid, but today the PT took a good look at him and said, " I really hope your son doesn't end up needing another helmet. " I hadn't said a word to the PT about his head shape or my concerns. He also stretched him a lot more agressively than he has before, holding my son down when he fought. (In case you're wondering, I was fine with this. Tough love. He'll appreciate not having a crooked neck when he's 16.)So, I think the PT must see the regression, too. Ahhh!!! Right now, I am trying to stay positive and be thankful that my son doesn't have a horrible disease, but it's really hard!
