Guest guest
hey jodi!! we had to switch from genotropin to norditropin as well because of oxford. we havent used it yet, still in the fridge because we have genotropin to finish using up. but the pen we have are disposable. they are 1.5ml and go up .5mg incramints. they are premixed and you get rid of them after you use up the gh in them. so dr h told us basically we would eventually have to give more than one shot. jodie c
Guest guest
Jodi - I wish I could answer your question - I unfortunately have no idea yet. I do have a question though. Is there a big difference between the type of GH you use and will it affect Max in any way? Are there different symptoms he will incur? Keep us posted. I hope it all works to your advantage. - H > > Last week we received a letter from our insurance company that they > will only cover Norditropin for growth hormone therapy from now on. > No exceptions. Guest guest
, I don't know the answer to your question regarding whether or not the different gh brand will affect Max. He's been on Humatrope for almost 15 years. But maybe it's like taking Motrin vs. Advil. They both work. I'm actually interested in how much longer Max will actually BE on gh! He's going to be 18 in July. I know that age does not determine when to stop. It's his bone age and other factors. And I do recall Dr. H. saying at one point that he may need them for the rest of his life. We will see. I'm taking Max to see Dr. H. a week from Tuesday. I'll have to pin her down. Guest guest
Jodi - Where was his most recent bone age? Just curious. I'm sure you've posted before - thanks for your patience with me though <grin>. You'll have to keep us posted about his appointment. - H > > , > > I don't know the answer to your question regarding whether or not the > different gh brand will affect Max.
