Guest guest
I am new to the group. I have a 3 month old who's head is flat on one side and forehead is sticking out more on the affected side. We are trying to help him with repositioning. Our MD wants us to have him sleep on his side (the unaffected side), our baby always turns onto his back after sleeping for a short time and sometimes even onto flatter side. We bought a Dex infant positioner with memory foam in hopes that it will help some. Has anyone ever tried this? If so, did it help any? During the day we let him sleep on his belly when we are in the same room. I am considering letting him sleep on his belly at night also. Has anyone done this? I am a NICU respiratory therapist and we place most of our NICU babies on their tummies but am afraid I will be kicking myself if something is to happen. We will take any advice you guys have to offer. I recently read an article that this condition could cause learning deficits, does anyone know anything about this ? Thanks!
