Guest guest
Dear Brave Souls: As USAF 21 years, wife.... I just want to say.... two cent's worrth... that I have found on grad list over all these years (I think five and a half years now) people to be very supportive of the hearts and souls involved. 99 percent of the time, respect for one another has been a PRECEDENT on Grad List, and I fully expect this regard for one another to continue. Secondly, I have had many, many years, of kissing my husband goodbye so many times, and practically wrassling him to the ground with joy when he was able to come home safely again each time. And, although i am in complete sympathy with any spouse who has to everyday have that terror place in the heart while their mate is away on dangerous missions, I am also sympathetic to people who dont live the military life— they don't always understand firsthand, at first, what the cost is, to the family especially, what the sensitivities and grit are--both. But, I dont alwayas understand right away what other people's challenges arel. It works both ways. Everyone is to be forgiven for not being ablle to read minds and hearts 100% of the time. You can't know a lot of things, if you don't live them-- unless you are a mind reader, which most people, including myself, are not. I have found that all people, military or not military, have life and death challenges that come into their lives. Some are more daily than others. I do know that trying to give empathy to all, goes a long way. And if one can't muster any empathy, then courtesy. I expect nothing less from grad list devotees. love, Ceep Mom
Guest guest
Ceep, I couldn't agree with you more. This comes from a USN wife of 9 yrs. Was gonna go the full 20, but dh was medically discharged. In the first 3 yrs of his enlistment we were together a grand total of 180 days! Can any one say Med cruise? I feel for anyone who is seperated from there loved ones, be it military or other traveling job. Been there on both counts. Reba > Dear Brave Souls: > As USAF 21 years, wife....
