Guest guest
A quick note just to say thanks for everyone's good wishes for Mads' operation last Thursday. She is doing very well, and reacted much better after the surgery than for her cleft palate repair. She was even smiling when we picked her up from theatre! We have to be careful how to pick her up and clean the wound, but she is smiling as usual and the G tube is pretty easy to flush and clean. We won't start her continuous feeds until Wednesday when the pump arrives, when she will have 300mls of Infatrini a night at 30mls per hour. However the dietician wants to move her to Nutrini with fibre within a month - as she is getting a bit old for Infatrini - I'm hoping the fibre will help. I am amazed how quickly she recovered - and Kamran and I agree (so far) it was definitely the right decision for Mads. I'll let you know how the feeds work out, Best wishes Gillian
Guest guest
Wow! Looks like it was g-tube week for our kids. I'm glad that Madeleine is doing so well. You must be relieved. Good luck with starting the pump feeds on Wednesday. What a relief to have the surgery over with! Jodi Z
