Guest guest
Hi , I had one of my sutures open quite long as well - the stitches fell out and one incision was open for quite a while. It did close eventually, and I'm sorry I don't remember the timeline...but I just had to make sure I didn't get food in it and washed it with a saline rinse to keep it clean. I saw my OS weekly so he was aware, so that took my worries away about it being problematic. Being completely numb at this stage is absolutely normal. Everyone's feeling comes back at different times, in fact, my surgeon said not to expect too much feeling until the 2 month mark, and that full recovery could be 6 months to a year, or longer. Good luck with everything, and I wish you speedy healing! Pam > > Hello... I just found this group as I was searching for information > regarding my surgical post-op issues.
