Guest guest
Reah, I just read your post in response to my original one about how we can get bogged down sometimes. In your post you said that many of us deal with so much more than you do. Well, that may be so, but the feeding issue in itself is one of our biggest challenges. You said you didn't feel like you had the right to " vent " since you aren't dealing with as much. That is simply NOT true. You have every right to come on here and vent all you need to. We all understand the feeding difficulties you are experiencing. Trying to feed your daughter when she just isn't interested is very frustrating and day in and day out it really starts to take its toll. is on a feeding tube and gets about 95% of his nutrition that way. We are currently working with him to try to get him to eat more, and that means reducing his tube feedings to get him " hungry " enough to eat. And, this is trial and error. Because if we don't reduce him enough, he still isn't hungry. But, if we reduce him too much he loses weight!! So, it is a constant battle here for us too. Unfortunately, isn't on Periactin to help stimulate his appetite, and I don't know if it will ever be an option for him since he has pretty severe reflux and this tends to make that worse. Anyway, I know you need to come on here and keep asking your questions and vent whenever you need to. It really is one of the best things you can do. Just after writing my original post, I felt a little better. Just getting it off your chest will make a big difference. And, once you get support from others who have read it, that helps so much. So, please don't ever feel like you don't have the " right " to do anything on here. We are all here to listen, support, and encourage. Whether you are new or have been on here for years!! ) I just wanted you to know that! Take care and keep posting, Jodi R. 's mommy
