Help - My Husband is in surg - any post op tips!?

Hello - I don't know what to expect. I am terrified because he is

having upper and lower jaw work. 1.5 hrs left until surgery is over.

He will not have his mouth wired shut, but he will have his mouth

in " lock-down " for 5 days. Any advise on favorite liquid foods and

things that will make his experience abit more comfortable...

Also his surgery is 4 hours and he had a catharer (is that how its

spelled?) put in - is that typical. Can you give me any 1st day post

op tips that you wished you knew...
