Guest guest
Thanks , I hope Dasia is well! > > , > I wish I had some advice for you. I'm so sorry for you and Autumn. How miserable. Just try to keep in mind, this as the storm before the rainbow. I'm sure things will get much better when she doesn't have that tube down her throat. I would be gagging at every chance too. > Thinking of you. > > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo! Guest guest
How is Autumn doing these days with her new G-tube? I know you were having lot's of issues with the site - just curious how that is going. - H
Guest guest
Hi. Thanks for your concern and for thinking of Autumn. She is doing well. She is 17 lbs now, not gaining as fast as I had hoped but she is gaining. THe docs said that it should be 1 lb a month and that was 3 weeks ago, we are getting there! I am just very relieved to know that she shouldn;t lose weight when she gets sick and she will continue to move up. Her g-tube is doing good. NO more infection! She has granulation tissue and it seems to be getting better. They said it was from a stitch that was part under part out of the skin and the granulation tissue formed around it. Now that the stitch is gone I am hoping she won't have any more problems with it but I have a feeling that she will! Overall, she is doing well. She doesn't mess around with the button either, ever! She did clean it once in the bathtub but that was it! She is very into her baby doll's button and likes to give her feeds! mom to Autumn RSS 22.5 mos about 30 inches 17 lbs, Summer SGA 11 lbs 5 mos, Ocean 3 yrs, Skye 7 yrs. > > How is Autumn doing these days with her new G-tube? Guest guest
- I am SO glad the infection is gone. That's just the worst. And, I'm so glad Autumn is doing so well with everything. I love the idea of the baby doll button - I might borrow that idea if it comes to that. And the 1 lb a month sounds pretty aggressive. I don't know a lot about the weight gain thought process yet for children with G-tubes - but, I know that if it were me - I wouldn't be overly concerned about not getting to that 1 lb goal. Gosh, at this rate - even 1/2 lb per month would be awesome in my books!! So, hip hip hooray for Autumn gaining weight as much as she has. And give her a big hug for me - we are so proud of her. (And proud of you of course <grin>). - H - In RSS-Support , " anderkat3 " <anderkat3@y...> wrote: > > Hi. Thanks for your concern and for thinking of Autumn. She is doing > well.
