Of course, there is the small matter of finding someone, getting married, etc. I would never consider having a baby by myself, so if I don't get married by age 40, I'll just be satisfied with no kids. After age 40 I am sure I won't have the energy to have kids, I barely have enough now. The only thing my doctor, and many other docs as well, have said is that you should wait until after you reach the 2 yr mark to make sure you are done losing weight. And then of course, there are the nutritional concerns as well. My biggest issue right now, if I have a TT done, should I give up on the idea of having kids as pregnancy would mess up or stretch out the TT job? I would LOVE to get rid of the overhang, but., I would have to have a C-section and am wondering how that would look.

Guest guest
I've got some friends who are or who have been pregnant as post-ops. Here's two lists to check out: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OSSG-pregnant http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OSSG-breastfeeding I own the breastfeeding list and it gets lots of spam and lots of pervs trying to join it (and not nice protein pervs, either! LOL) so please send an intro message to the board owners BEFORE clicking join. Thanks Z Open RNY 09/17/01 http://www.ziobro.us pregnancy? Guest guest
Why would you HAVE to have a c-section? The death rate from c-section is actually HIGHER than the death rate from RNY and I'm always amazed that people are scared to death for us for our RNYs but think absolutely nothing of a c-section, sometimes even choosing the surgery and scheduling the date so the baby can be born on the day they choose. The medical industry is pretty screwed up about that one, IMO... Obstetricians who want to make sure they don't miss their golf game make me sick!!
