How long are you suppose to be in the hospital for?

For people that have already had the surgery, how long were you in the

hospital for? Because all the messages I read, everyone's say they

were there for couple of days, but my doctor says that I should be out

on the day of my surgury, and i should only be there for a couple of

hours after i wake up. They didnt even book me for more then one day.

Is this unusual?
