Guest guest
Sorry guys... You are right.. I should have added the disclaimer that the atkins suggestions for carnitine is for " normies " .. not necessarily for bypass patients. and ALWAYS ALWAYS consult a professional before taking anything like that. I just came across the info and wanted to share.
Guest guest
Hi Amber.. Thank you... I knew that wasnt necessarily directed at me but it did remind me that I should have put in my usual " disclaimer " . I run several support groups myself and am very aware of qualifying what I post especially if it is an article that wasn't specifically meant for bypass patients. I need to be reminded about things like this too. Being 17months out I sometimes forget the details like discontinuing all herbals and supplements before surgery. I will pass that along to my groups as well.
Guest guest
, the article on herb and drug interactions was not directed at you or the article you shared - it was VERY interesting. I moderate 3 support groups and sent it to them and thought it would be a good reminder for us all. It is so important to discontinue all herbals and supplements (not protein though) at least 14 days before any surgery - many of them contribute to excess bleeding etc. Amber/FLRN Re: Herb and drug interactions Sorry guys...
