Guest guest
I'm going in for BR surgery on the 18th and asked the ps to fix a little puffiness in the pubic region that has been there since the tt almost two years ago. He said fine, but wanted me to go for a sonogram. I went for the sonogram just before New Year's, then they recommended that I have a CAT scan of the abdomen and pelvis, then the recommendation was for a transvaginal sono (sorry gents). After all of this, turns out I have multipe cysts on my left and only remaining ovary. Went to the gyn yesterday and he said that we'll just sit tight and have another tv sono in two months. Fine with me as I've had no pain and didn't even no the suckers were in there. Last night about 9 pm, I woke up with the most excruciating left side pain and thought that one of the cysts must have ruptured. Was up all night in a tremendous amount of pain. Called gyn this morning and waited all day for office to get back to me. As the day wore on I'm thinking to myself that this isn't my ovary, the pain is up a little higher to the left and towards my hip bone. You can also see my abdomen is distended on the left side. Just got back from my gyn who confirmed that it wasn't my ovary, but he can feel and see the swelling and that I should call my ps. Just got off the phone with the ps and he said he was boggled by this and has never seen this before but could be that a suture from the tt came apart and is causing the pain. Have to meet him in the ER tomorrow morning at 10 am. Just wondering if anybody has had this and also I've heard so many stories about bowel obstructions and this is going through my head at this point. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Regina
