On to the next doctor

To recap, my OD sent me to UNC because they said my problem was too

severe for them. I started this process with my OS four months ago,

and was heart-broken when I was referred to UNC. I just want to get

the braces and get started.

I finally got my appt at UNC, but it's not until Dec 5th. The

secretary did say she would call with any cancelations, and there is

only one other person ahead of me on that list. I will be seeing Dr.

Turvey and I've heard a lot of good things about him. Apparently,

they are going to make molds, Xrays, ect at the first appt. I am

hopeful that they will use the ones I just had done (at least some of

it). I've already had to pay for them 2x. Until then, I'll just

play the waiting game. I hope I find help at UNC. I'm so

frustrated. Of course, if I don't get in soon, I know my husband

will not be here for the surgery (he leaves for a year in May).

Also, someone posted that they would be getting a partial (of sorts)

and having their teeth pulled. I asked about this but did not get a

response. Why would they pull your teeth? I haven't heard of this

before. If anyone knows fill me in. Curiosity is killing the cat.
