Yes, they are wonderful.

But be sure to check with your surgeon about when you may use one,

and at what setting, post-op. Many docs do not want their patients

using them until the incisions are healed, as they can disrupt the

stitches, and then only at the least powerful setting.

They are grand for getting glop out from under the splint, though, if

you have only lower jaw surgery, as did I. There were no stitches up

there to be in danger, and I could shoot a stream of water underneath

to help clean up a bit.

They certainly are useful for anyone in braces who has no incisions

to risk.

Oh yes!!! Absolutely do not use a waterpik while the stitches are

still in! Thanks for mentioning that!
