My

understanding of creatinine is that high levels indicate a problem with

kidneys. Therefore the recommendation to drink lots of fluids to continue

to flush out the kidneys. Dehydration is also a factor, so you may need

to boost your electrolytes regularly along with drinking plenty of water.

Diarrhea usually throws off our electrolyte balances, so you’ll need to

make sure you replace the electrolytes regularly as well.

I’m

assuming your doctors have checked for kidney disease?

I

would make the SCD-electrolyte drink, or use ELyte, and have a glass

several times a day. Plus drink lots of water throughout the day.

I

have had problems with dehydration all my life, and lately have also been

dealing with low electrolytes, so I drink a lot of water. [grin] The

amount I need is probably different from what you need, but drinking at least

10 glasses of water per day is the usual recommendation. I need two

to three times more than that, plus I have to boost my electrolytes once or

twice a day.

Can

anyone give me some advice regarding high creatinine levels due to bad

diarreah? I have been told to drink and I still have elevated numbers. Has

anyone had this problem? I have been very weak from this.
