Guest guest
I'm sitting here with tears running down my cheeks! I pray to God that we never have to go through this. We're thinking of you and praying for you guys! Jeanie Donna wrote: , It rips your heart into shreds when they do that. Because you knew how much it hurts but you are powerless to do anything but, try to comfort them and hold them. They don't understand that you can't take away the pain even though you would do anything in the world to. I know that when Eva has had her surgery's and it is a test of faith for me. But, just know that someday that she will understand that you did everything you could. You all are in my prayers, hang in there girl. She would grip onto me shaking when they would try to go near her stomach, and she cried throughout the day, and napped a little in between. I barely held it together. After a very LONG day, thankfully my husband let me come home, and he stayed the night with her, I'll go back 1st thing in the morning after I get my other daughter on the bus. Also from what Chad says, she is much less whiney when I'm not around to complain to. I know she's in good hands, and I can get some much needed rest, I'm so exhausted. Good night everyone. Guest guest
The good news is, Dasia is finally thriving since the surgery! After taking her first steps 5 months ago, she's now walking everywhere, (backwards, sideways, with and without shoes). She's talking up a storm, even sings and dances! She laughs and plays with so much more animation, and we have been able to enjoy her so much more, not having to worry about her gaining or losing weight. It is a complete turn around for her, and for us. Just like everone said, one month later, and she's a totally different child. Her therapists are amazed at her progress, and PT has been lowered to once a week. The complications with reflux and granulation tissue really pale in comparison to the gains she has made in the last month. We also found out she'll most likely be on meds for her thyroid, she had high TSH levels, and we need to go back for more in depth testing.
