Guest guest
Although our focus is on orthognathic surgery, I'm taking the liberty to post this. Help is urgently needed in Pakistan. 800,000 people are without shelter and winter is fast approaching. A colder than normal winter is forecast, with 17 feet of snow in some places. These people are suffering from disease, diarrhea and untreated injuries. 3.3 million are homeless and half of the victims are children. This story from the Guardian Weekly talks about the trauma that these victims are living through. http://www.guardian.co.uk/pakistan/Story/0,2763,1605786,00.html The United Nations has only 20% of the money it needs to continue relief operations over the next six months. UN helicopters could stop flying as early as this week. This earthquake was a natural disaster, but our failure to help survivors is a man-made disaster waiting to happen. Please give NOW to the charity of your choice. Red Cross, Unicef and Oxfam are some of the charities with relief funds for Pakistan, and you can quickly donate online. Thanks for reading this, and thanks for helping.
