Guest guest
Hi there, I haven't been on the forum for a while because I felt like it was geared more towards people with Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis. I have Microscopic Colitis (specifically, Lymphocytic Colitis) and I'm just wondering if anyone else in this group has this type of IBD? I've been off and on with SCD, and have tried other things as well (Primal, Paleo, Guts and Glory, etc.) but have been having major problems lately. Also, unfortunately, my student health insurance expired (I graduated) and I currently have no health insurance. The prescription I was taking, Entocort EC, is over $1,000 per month without insurance. I've tried ordering the " Budez CR " generic from Sun Pharma in India but I believe that's what sent me into this tailspin. I was finally able to find a new GI in my area (I recently moved) that will take cash patients (amazingly, and frustratingly, most will only accept new patients with insurance!!) My appointment isn't until early November. I think I may have to try a new medication. I'm not sure if the Entocort was working that well, anyway. I've been on it at the full dose (9mg per day) for 6 months. Does anyone here happen to have Microscopic Colitis, and if so, have you had success with SCD? Are you on any medications, and if so, which ones have seemed to help you? Thanks so much! Desperate,
