Guest guest
This is OT, but since there are a lot of people here with thyroid problems, I'm sure someone knows the answer to my question ;-). A couple weeks ago, I had an ultrasound done on my thyroid (getting my doc to do anything concerning my thyroid has been like pulling teeth). Today his nurse called, and said they want me to get a nuclear thyroid scan done at the hospital. When I looked it up online, I found people saying it takes anywhere from 1 hour to more then 4 hours to do this thing, and that you have to come back the next day for more pictures. Has anyone had it done? Should I be planning on spending half a day getting this procedure? I've had/have appointments up the wazoo this month, and don't want to book this thing on a busy day if it's a long test. Thanks in advance!
