Guest guest
Yep. Goat milk yogurt - without gums and additives - is runny - like a yogurt drink. MaraIs the yogurt supposed to be really thin? Like pourable thin? Just made my first batch with goat's milk and I wasn't sure if the consistency was right... when I used to make yogurt several years ago it was a LOT thicker but I don't know what I did differently (and that was way before SCD, so I never let it ferment for 24 hours)... Goat yogurt is usually much thinner than cow yogurt. Mine always comes out about the consistency of very thick buttermilk. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
Can you " drip " goats yogurt like you can with cow's? If so, put your yogurt in a cheese cloth, coffee filter, handkerchief, etc. and you'll be able to get it to thicken up a bit! -Joanna > > * Forbes *
