Is there a particular brand (australian) you can recommend? What do I avoid (apart from the obvious sugars and sweetners and nasty additives)?? You find a yogurt or a starter and you make your own SCD goat yogurt. There is no commercial yogurt which is SCD-legal. My probiotic has the following bacteria strains in it; -Lactobacillus Acidophilus (NCFM) organisms - 7.5 Billion/15Billion serving -Bifidobacterium Lactis (Bi-07) organisms - 7.5 Billion/15Billion serving -180mg Oligofructose I am praying these are all legal/ok?? Nope, not legal. The oligo fructose isn't good, and any strain of bifidus or bifido bacteria is illegal. THe only legal strains are s. thermophilus, l. bulgaricus, and l. acidophilus and/or l. casei in our yogurt. L. acidophilus and s. boulardii may be used as a supplement. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

Guest guest
Oh wow, I feel really silly and really disappointed, yet happy that I now have learned something else about the SCD! So, to enlighten me further, what is the result of taking these probiotics that are illegal? What is actually happening at the bacterial level in my gut?? Perhaps it explains my feeling of plateuing, and even going backwards, these past couple of weeks. Can I have kefir?? Gosh I hope so... i just prepared a whole batch! And it tastes great! So, what you were saying in your latest email... do you mean the only bacteria strains to have in supplements are L. acidophilus and > s. boulardii may be used as a supplement?? Right?? The other strains are to be in yogurt!? More research on the way for this Aussie chick by the looks of it! Thank you lin, Fiona =) > >I am really keen to start goats yogurt!
