Guest guest Posted October 23, 2005 Report Share Posted October 23, 2005 Hello All I've been reading the posts here for about six months, but this is my first post, as I have finally got a surgery date - 22nd November, and I got my hooks (called cleats in the UK) on Thursday. Reading everyone's posts has helped me so much so far, and also provided some relief to my poor friends, family and work colleagues who have had to listen to me going on about it all for almost three years! It has also helped me keep my problems in perspective when I read about what so many of you have been through. I'm 28 and live in Salisbury, in the UK. I'm having upper, lower and genio. I have an underbite, and a slight open bite. I've had my braces on for 16 months (and also had them as a teenager). I will be wired shut for at least six weeks - sure to be my healthiest Christmas and New Year ever! Anyway, I'll stop there before I ramble on, but I just wanted to introduce myself.
